Woman Uses Walmart Bookshelves to Elevate Her Entryway Way ... - DenGarden

Have some closet space that you simply don’t know what to do with? You could let it continue being an overfilled and underused basic closet space, but what if you could elevate it? Take it to a whole new level with a simple, basic addition.
You can do it! Just take a page out of Nanah Martinez’s book and turn it into your own organized space instead!
Now, I know what you’re thinking… It would take too much time, effort, and money to turn an entire closet into something that is far more functional and organized, no matter how large or small it was! But what if I told you that it doesn’t have to be any of those things? It is possible, and all it takes is a trip (or two) to Wal-Mart!
So at Wal-Mart you are going to want to go to the furniture section, and look for some of the cheaper twenty-dollar option bookshelves. You can get two, three, even more of them for less than you’d spend just about anywhere else. While you are there, go ahead and grab some decor items as well - you can usually find a decent set for fairly cheap, and that will help fill up the extra space that you aren’t actively using.
Get those home and get them set up in your closet. Depending on your space you can arrange them in all sorts of different ways, such as putting one against the back wall and the others against the sides. You can also take a page out of Nanah’s book and go ahead and add some spring-loaded runners for your hanging stuff to use up any extra space as well.
From there just decorate as you wish, add those extra bits that you want to tuck away, and go on about your day!

Setting Up Your Homeschooling Room - Lighting Is Extremely Important
[ad_1]
Perhaps you didn't realize it but lighting in the classroom is a crucial part of learning. It was discovered through research that fluorescent lights, when they flicker, could cause severe challenges to students trying to learn. Often fluorescent lights are uneven as one wears out over time, this blinking causes distractions and disrupts eyesight and thus, slows the learning process. It can cause nausea, drowsiness, and even tax the immune system.
Obviously, that's not good for schools, but what if you are homeschooling? Have you considered your home lighting, shading, level of light? At the 2013 "Strategies in Light" symposium and conference there was a workshop on Interior Lighting and one of the questions considered was the challenges we have in our schools, not only the costs associated with changing the lighting, or the power requirements of various types, but the effect all this had on the workplace and in classrooms.
Look here is the deal, if professionals in education are so worried about this, and if businesses and corporations realize that they lose productivity with poor lighting then perhaps you as a homeschooling parent ought to also take immediate notice. You might think you are saving money with those special light bulbs or with LED lighting, but if it is not done correctly, you'll cause eyestrain and drowsiness, and well, your child will not be learning at optimum, and perhaps lose concentration, comprehension, and/or retention by over 50%.
The first thing you should realize is that natural lighting is the best of all. If you are homeschooling try to use a room with the most natural lighting during the day. As the sun goes down or during a cloudy or overcast day use UV lights, not fluorescent, and not LED. No, LED lights are not that bad, but they'll get enough LED lighting from their computers, laptops, tablets, and perhaps future flat screen TVs. UV light bulbs are the closest to natural lighting.
Your child should be sitting near the light, and not across the room in a shaded area, as that makes the eyes tired, and your child may have some trouble concentrating. It is also worthy to ask your child how they like the lighting. Does it fluster them? Does it annoy them? If so, that is a good reason to lower the intensity a bit or adjust the closeness of the light source. All of this matters and an annoying light or poor lighting will make the difference in the quality of your homeschooling progress. So, please consider all this and think on it.

Promotes Michigan as the leader in innovation, talent, and technology on a global stage LANSING, Mich. – Yesterday, Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist led a Michigan delegation to the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), promoting the state’s leadership in technology, future mobility, workforce talent, and innovation, and highlighting how Michigan is the best place to design, build, and manufacture the future. During CES, the world’s business leaders and pioneering thinkers come together to showcase new technologies and address relevant issues. “Michigan is and always has been a state of innovators,” said Lt. Governor Garlin Gilchrist II. “We are proud to be the best place for dreamers, doers, and problem-solvers to build the future and make a difference. We are here at CES to engage with world-leading companies and tell Michigan’s story: of tough, hardworking people who are ready to grow our economy, bring supply chains home, and compete for every good-paying job. Let’s get to work paving the way for a stronger Michigan.” Lt. Governor Gilchrist held meetings with high-level executives from foreign and domestic companies, many Michigan-based, ranging from startups to Fortune 500 members. He also participated in a Silicon Foundry roundtable discussing the role of mobility in smart cities and infrastructure, where he highlighted how Michigan has continued to create public-private partnerships to address these challenges in communities throughout the state. Joining Lt. Governor Gilchrist at CES were Quentin L. Messer Jr., CEO of the Michigan Economic Corporation (MEDC) and Trevor Pawl, Michigan’s Chief Mobility Officer, as well as additional delegates from the MEDC, the Office of Future Mobility and Electrification (OFME) and other state partners. Lt. Governor Gilchrist also met with key international business partners, including the UK, Israel, and others, as the global stage becomes important in the future mobility revolution. To close out the day, Lt. Governor Gilchrist attended the OFME-GENIVI matchmaking event and had the opportunity to speak at the event’s evening reception, the pre-eminent mobility-focused networking event at CES. The event features business-to-business matchmaking sessions to connect mobility-focused startup companies with OFME, strengthen investment in Michigan-based startups, and attract startup companies to Michigan. “Michigan remains proud of its heritage as a state of innovation, and we remain focused on building upon that proud legacy to drive the future of technology as we know it,” said Trevor Pawl, Michigan’s Chief Mobility Officer. “This is our time to promote Michigan as the preeminent place for the leaders of the future to build their businesses, leverage Michigan’s world-class talent, and push the boundaries of the innovations of the future. The 2023 Consumer Electronics Show is the place to do just that.” The Whitmer Administration is helping Michiganders compete for high-tech jobs through the Michigan Reconnect and Michigan Achievement Scholarship programs, which lower the cost of higher education for families. Since 2019, Michigan has announced over 30,000 new auto jobs, expanded investments in critical industries manufacturing chips and batteries, and revamped our economic competitiveness with a bipartisan plan to attract businesses to the state. ### Executive Office of the Governor Communications Division press@michigan.gov Follow us Balancing a rewarding career with the ability to have a high-quality lifestyle is important.
